High standards and a broad and rich curriculum go hand in hand. It is important that children have a rich and exciting experience at primary school, learning a wide range of skills in a variety of ways. Children's entitlement to a rich, broad and balanced set of learning experiences can only be guaranteed, if they have a firm foundation in literacy and numeracy. This site will help teachers develop their own professionalism and capacity to teach more creatively and innovatively.

This site has been developed by a working party comprising of Headteachers and teachers from a variety of schools, supported by LEA Advisers. Examples have been provided from various schools to illustrate how curriculum design has been developed with their children.
