The purpose of this letter is to provide information about funding for the National Strategies during the coming academic year. You will be well aware that the National Strategies will not continue after April 2011, so 2010-2011 is the last year in which Standards Fund for school improvement programmes will be made available through local authorities. The level of school resources and how they are to be funded from 2011-12 will be one element of the decisions taken within the autumn Comprehensive Spending Review and the review of the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG).
